A few allergy tips after a recent stay in Aruba
1. Research resorts ahead of time and whether they prepare safe meals at the general dining areas. The one I was at did NOT offer custom plates. Just self-serve buffet. However, there were dinner restaurants that would create safe dishes.
2. Be careful with drinks. Many nut based liquors are used at the open bars for all the exotic drinks.
3. Be prepared for foreign language - and not just at restaurants. I needed a prescription in Aruba, and all of the instructions were in Dutch. SO be sure to listen very carefully to all doctor's instructions so you aren't relying on written literature.
4. Think about where to keep epi in day time. It can get very hot - look for shady spots on beach (wake up early to reserve with your towels) and perhaps bring a thermal lunch case to store them.
