Food allergies are widely known across the country and have been fuelled by various provincial policies for schools and other settings. School policies have made food allergies a more known issue for families who have to comply to school restrictions. Industry has started offering more “free from” foods and it is becoming more common for restaurants to prompt diners to disclose their allergies through signs or wait staff.
